The basics of certified translations

According to Slovak law, certified translations are printed on paper, bound to the printed source document and bearing the designation “Translation”. Certified translations are prepared by a translator listed in the Register of Certified Experts, Interpreters and Translators, as kept by the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic. Certified translations are accepted by state and public authorities, courts, the Police, prosecutors’ offices unconditionally.

As translators seated in Slovakia, we prepare certified translations in accordance with the Slovak rules and regulations in the following language pairs: Hungarian-Slovak, English-Slovak, German-Slovak, French-Slovak. If you want to use the translations beyond the territory of Slovakia, please, before doing so, check if the recipient accepts certified translations prepared by Slovakian certified translators.

Please note: As translators, we certify the authenticity and correctness of the translation, not the source document (e.g. a copy) per se.  The latter is the competence of a notary public, not a translator.
